About the Author

Beverly Lemoine Gutierrez (Bev E) is a Belizean author and activist who has dedicated most of her life to serving quietly in her community. She uses Scripture-based guidance to help others surmount the challenges in their life. She works with persons of all ages, with a special focus on women and children.

Bev E has appeared on the 700 Club on CBN – the Christian Broadcasting Network, in the United States, using that platform to share her experiences as outlined in her book: While Passing Through. She is also the featured motivator in the documentary titled, Hokmah’s Daughter, the Beverly Small Story, produced in 2010. Bev E has also written, directed, and produced compelling stage plays in the United States through which she has been able to touch lives through narratives that brought critical social issues to the fore

She continues to serve, support, and inspire countless others wherever she walks, both men and women, boys and girls. Although her youthful life was marred with “everything bad that could happen to a girl”—incest, rape, alcohol and drug addiction, multiple suicide attempts, teenage pregnancy,, and poverty—Bev E has devoted her life to fighting against the evils she had to confront as a child and young woman. Today, she is a matriarch in her own right and a force to be reckoned with, although she continues to humbly and quietly serve others for the esteem of the Kingdom of YAHUAH. Bev E was honored as Woman of the Year following nominations from her congregation to the US Embassy in Belize. She has been picked as one of 10 to vie for the Woman of Courage award. Bev E is indeed a woman of valor and strength, and she uses her talents, skills, and power to help others to break free from strongholds that impede them from living a full and gratifying life. In her new book, While Passing Through (Revised and Expanded), she unpacks many life lessons learned garnered throughout her tumultuous years of struggles in the hope that these pearls of wisdom can empower others to experience unspeakable joy while passing through their own life journey!
